Difference between mold and fixture

1、 Concept

1. Mold: various molds and tools used in industrial production to obtain the required products by injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, die casting or forging molding, smelting, stamping and other methods. In short, molds are tools used to make molded objects.

2. Fixture: refers to the device used to fix the processing object in the process of mechanical manufacturing to make it occupy the correct position for construction or inspection.

2、 Difference

There are differences between these two in terms of applicable objects and functions.

1. Applicable object difference

(1) The die is applicable to unformed workpiece.

(2) The fixture is applicable to the formed workpiece.

In any process of the process, the device used to quickly, conveniently and safely install the workpiece, such as welding fixture, inspection fixture, assembly fixture, machine tool fixture, etc.

Among them, machine tool fixture zui is common, often referred to as fixture, and fixture belongs to tooling.

2. Function difference

(1) The mold is used to shape the workpiece.
