The difference between mold and fixture

  1. Concept

  ①, mold: industrial production for injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, die casting or forging press forming, smelting, stamping and other methods to get the required products of various molds and tools. In short, a mold is a tool used to make molded items.

  2. Differences

  There are differences between them in terms of applicable objects and functions.

  (1) The mold is suitable for unformed workpieces.

  (2) The fixture is suitable for the formed workpiece.

  Among them, machine tool fixtures are the most common, often referred to as fixtures, fixtures belong to tooling.

  ②. Difference in function
