The sky wheel is a fixed pulley on the top of the shaft derrick to adjust the direction of the wire rope movement. The function is to support the wire rope connecting the hoist drum and the lifting container, and guide the wire rope to turn. There are three kinds of floating sky wheel, fixed sky wheel on the well, sinking and underground fixed sky wheel. The varieties of steel wire rope supporting the sky wheel include phosphating coated steel wire rope, galvanized steel wire rope or smooth steel wire rope.
