The torque is then transmitted back to the drum, which drives the winch. There is a clutch between the motor and the reducer, which can be switched on and off by a handle. The brake unit is inside the drum, which locks automatically when the noose is tightened.
In practical use, some auxiliary items are essential for the safe and smooth use of the winch, such as gloves to safely protect the hands. In addition, to secure the winch to a tree, you need a strap, a U-shaped lug, and a tight-wire pulley. The straps are used to hold the fulcrum in place. Its ideal length is 1.5 to 2 meters; U-shaped lugs connect hooks to straps and winches. So it is best to prepare several sizes of lifting lugs; With two or three lines, to change the drag direction, you need a tight line pulley.
