The decoupling phenomenon of chain hoists has not been completely resolved. During many projects, the hook of the chain hoist suddenly fell off the hook beam. Decoupling generally refers to the fact that the screw that secures the ball on one side of the hook crossbeam has withdrawn from the screw hole, and the ball has completely escaped from the ring groove through the screw hole. There are four main solutions to the decoupling phenomenon of the hand chain hoist mentioned above:
1. Carry out a load test of 125 times the rated load of the hand chain hoist according to the lifting tool management regulations.
2. Before putting into use, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection of newly purchased lifting tools such as chain hoists, especially the riveting of the screw holes at the end of the hook beam.
3. When selecting lifting tools such as chain hoists, it is necessary to purchase qualified products produced by regular manufacturers.
4. In order to prevent similar accidents and prevent screws from being withdrawn from the screw holes, in addition to initially checking the riveting condition of the screw holes, it is also possible to seal the hook beam with tin alloy in the screw hole space at the tail of the screw. According to the above four solutions, carrying out the work of the chain hoist is believed to be able to prevent the chain hoist from unhooking and achieve twice the result with half the effort.
