1. During the maintenance of the forklift, all important parts and components that have been removed must be thoroughly cleaned and blown clean with compressed air before they are ready to be installed back, in order to prevent residual dirt from affecting the service life of the forklift.

2. If there are quality defects in the processing contact surface of spare parts of a forklift truck, they must be repaired before installation, otherwise dangerous faults may occur during use.

3. For small parts such as flat washers, washers, cotter pins, safety washers, etc. equipped with the nuts of a forklift, a forklift manual should be provided with corresponding spare parts.

4. If the main bolts of the forklift truck are deformed or elongated, they must be replaced. The threads of the bolts should extend within one to three teeth of the nut. Generally, the allowable thread of a bolt is not lower than that of a nut, or it can protrude more than three teeth from the nut without affecting its use effect;

5. Forklift maintenance personnel should use a torque wrench to tighten the nuts and bolts of the forklift regardless of whether they have been disassembled during maintenance, to prevent the fasteners from falling off and causing danger during forklift operation.

6. Used copper sheets, iron sheets, asbestos pads, paper pads, and cork pads can still be used when they are fully compatible. Various gaskets shall not be painted;

7. Before installing the leather oil seal on the maintenance forklift truck, it must be immersed in a mixture of engine oil and kerosene heated to 60 ℃ for 5-8 minutes before installation; Rubber type oil seals should be coated with gear oil at the friction part, and the outer circumference of the iron shell and seat ring of the oil seal should be coated with zinc white paint during installation.

8. The machined surface of the machine part cannot be directly knocked with a hammer, which can easily be damaged. It must be padded with a soft metal plate or bar.

9. The hydraulic pump, hydraulic distributor, and hydraulic steering device should be tested, and only after testing can they be partially or completely disassembled for forklift maintenance.
